Notice on the use of cookies

Cookies are small strings of text exchanged between a website and the user's browser each time a website is accessed. These strings, which do not contain any executable code, are used for different activities, such as performing automatic authentication, keeping track of sessions, storing information to improve the browsability of the site or the user's browsing experience. Each domain visited using a browser can install one or more cookies. An Internet page may contain objects that come from many different domains and each of them may install cookies (in this case known as “third-party” cookies). Cookies allow the browsing experience on the website to be improved and can store the chosen settings for your next visit.

The Italian data protection authority defines two types of cookies in its general regulation published in the Official Journal of the Italian State no. 126 dated 3 June 2014:

  • Technical cookies - Used for the sole purpose of allowing a message to be sent, completing a service requested by the user or for statistical research.
  • Profiling cookies - Used to record the behaviour of users and the preferences expressed to send advertising messages that match their profile.

This website uses technical cookies.

Duration of cookies

Some cookies (session cookies) only remain active until the browser is closed or the logout command is executed. Other cookies “survive” after the browser is closed and are also available for subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are known as “persistent” and their duration is set by the server at the time they are created. In some cases an expiry date is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited.

This website uses persistent and non-persistent cookies.

Cookie management

Most browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) are configured to accept cookies. However, all browsers allow you to control and disable cookies using the browser settings. Remember, however, that disabling cookies or functional cookies can cause the site to malfunction and/or limit the service we offer.
